Completely Mad...Lib

If you remember from this post, I talked about how one of my goals was to write more. It's one of the ways I remain centered and a little less Ted Bundy. In conjunction with writing more, I was also going to run more. Which I have. I've even enlisted Melodie, who now thinks that every time we go out the door we should be running. In an effort to be more active period, I took advantage of being an SPA (SweatPink Ambassador) and signed up for the #NoExcuses Challenge. Each Sunday I receive an email with our daily challenges for the week. The challenges range from doing a 30 second plank to sharing a healthy recipe (probably one that doesn't require you to use a can opener to access all your ingredients).

There are a bunch of awesome sponsors (Augusta Active, ShowerPill, ActivMotion Bar, Beaming with Health, Actio926, WIN Detergent and Sasquatch Racing) who are giving out some awesome prizes for participating in other activities and let's face it, we all know I love for free shiz. This time it's filling in a mad lib which I'm terrible at. This should be interesting. (Forgive the uninspired answers. My 5AM wake up time is finally catching up with me.)

  • Hey 2015, it’s me DCG(nickname, spirit animal, real name, blog name)
  • This year I would like to run more, cook more, and write more.
  • It would also be super duper awesome if I also did a 10k this year. It’s not a resolution, though, just a reminder to myself to try and have the best year yet because it's all about your attitude.
  • The thing I am looking forward to most this year is continuing in my new job.
  • I’ll use the one thing that truly gets me out of bed in the morning which is coffee to help me get up, get rolling (verb) and get after my #NoExcuses 2015.
  • Speaking of excuses (ahem), my very favorite excuse is "I'm too tired" and I have used it to get out of doing exercise and writing on more than a billion (number) occasions.
  • I vow to move my body and be more healthy this year even if it means I have to get up even earlier.
  • Even if my alarm clock gets eaten by the dog in the middle of the night, I'll still wake up at 5AM.
  • I will stop blaming the Monkey [ex: kids, dog, husband] for eating the rest of the ice cream when everyone knows it was really me.
  • My job [job, hair, car, husband, kids] is not the reason I make excuses. I will show my job [same as before] who's boss this year and get my run[type of sweaty activity] on
  • I know that running[type of workout] is better than whittling [noun]
  • I will reward myself by not caring a fig how often I do it or for how long
  • No Excuses 2015 has just begun and already I am imagining myself a winner. I can’t wait to rock a Ladies Action Color Block Skort(article of clothing) from Augusta Active. I can’t wait till my sweaty friends are jealous of how fresh, clean and glowing (adj) I am between workouts with help from ShowerPill body wipes. I can see myself rocking the plank [yoga pose / workout move] in new Rock the Course leggings[article of clothing from Actio926] from Actio926 and looking fit and fly while doing it. And of course, I’ll be taking my workouts to the next level and improving my strength[noun] with my new ActivMotion Bar to help me train for my next  5k[distance] race with Sasquatch Racing.
  • Oh, and let’s not forget how amazing my reflective shirt[article of clothing] will smell in my / during my run [favorite type of workout] after washing with some WIN Detergent. And lastly, I’ll keep rocking my 2015 with clean eats and nutrition from Beaming with Health!
  • Tag, Tweet, shout-out, call, text, fax or email 3 friends to take this survey and share how they will have a #NoExcuses 2015. Remind your friends to simply fill in the underlined parts!
  • Use the #NoExcuses hashtag and post to win prizes from Augusta Active, ShowerPill, ActivMotion Bar, WIN Detergent, Actio926, Beaming with Health, and Sasquatch Racing

Just When You Think It's Safe to Get Back in the Water

We're already into the second month of the new year. How did that happen? It feels like just yesterday Husband was putting away the Christmas decorations (and if I had my way, it would've been yesterday).

This past week was definitely different. It was the first official week of being completely in our new home. I even meal planned for the week. We were finally settling into a routine when I noticed that something was quite right.

Our Mandie is a creature of habit and prefers sleeping in her "chair" over just about anything else (except food; girl loves her Taste of the Wild). However, the past few nights have seen me getting up in the middle of the night to let her drink and go out potty. I haven't gotten up this many times since Melodie was a puppy.

While on our walks (which I have been trying to get better about since Mandie was referred to as roly poly at her last check up), Mandie will pee every two feet. Now for dog owners, we know-this is not unusual. It's all about being top dog and peeing on someone else's territory. However, when I say every two feet, I mean literally every two feet. Waddle waddle waddle squat. Waddle waddle waddle squat (hey she's four inches off the ground, not exactly Giselle like). Today was waddle waddle waddle squat and pee blood. HOLY HECK IN A HAND BASKET!

Frantic call was made to Husband via my personal electronic leash, which of course he didn't answer. Then it was home as fast as possible, still with the waddling and the squatting. Got home called the vet, made an emergency appointment and was told we could come in early, though, to see if she could be seen. We showed up early.

Of course, Mandie was all peed out, so now she's at the vet being waited on hand and foot while this puppy momma is at home FREAKING out and trying to snuggle Melodie who just wants to play outside. The novelty of a front yard has not worn off for that one.

Instances like this make me feel like I'm going to be a terrible mother some day. I had every worse case scenario running through my head and was thinking about the horrible invasive procedures they were going to have to perform. When Mandie was taken to the back, it's quite possible I almost started crying. Worst feeling coming home without her. If we don't hear anything by two, I'm supposed to call them but I don't think I'll be able to wait until then.

So while this week showed great potential, I'm calling it as a bust. There was much cooking going on in the kitchen, though. I signed up for Allrecipes.com Pro Membership which includes a super cool meal planner. You just choose the meal you want to cook from your recipe box (which is akin to my Pinterest board in the overwhelming amount of recipes it contains) and drag it onto the menu. It automatically generates a grocery list, which I love, because without a list, I blow my grocery budget every time. Here are pictures of the recipes I made this week:

    Lasagna Alfredo Roll Ups.
I was really expecting these to be time consuming. They were not. AND even though they were overwhelmingly vegetarian, Husband ate it with no complaints (when in doubt smother it in Alfredo sauce). Keep in mind when using frozen spinach that you want to rinse it and squeeze out any extra liquid, otherwise interesting is the nicest way to describe the way it tastes. I also sauteed some garlic in with my spinach because, well, I heart garlic.

    Taco Pie.
Again, another super easy recipe but I had to make quite a few modifications which I'll list below.

    A-Maize-Ing Corn Chowder
Surprisingly, while Husband enjoys corn, he doesn't care for soup, so this wasn't a huge hit, except for the bacon on top. I, however, thoroughly enjoyed it and can't think of any changes that I made to it.

    Baked Chicken
This was quite easily the yummiest meal of the week. Full of flavor and fat, I would totally make it again, but only after a really really really long run.

    Crescent Pizza Pockets
Meh, not sure I'd made these again. Great idea but the proportions of ingredients to the directions was off. Tasty, but a bit aggravating.

    Taco Pie
(Adapted from Allrecipes.com, originally posted by Stephanie)
    Printable Version

    1 package refrigerated crescent rolls
    1 lb ground turkey
    1/2 large onion minced
    1 package taco seasoning mix
    1 minced clove garlic
    8 oz. sour cream
    1/2 can refried beans
    8 oz colby jack cheese
    1 cup crushed tortilla chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lay crescent dough flat on the bottom of a square cake pan and bake according to package directions. DO NOT UNDER BAKE. Meanwhile, brown the ground turkey and saute onions together in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add the taco seasoning and stir together well. In separate bowl, mix sour cream and refried beans together. When dough is done, remove from oven and place meat mixture on top, then layer with sour cream and refried beans and cheese, and then top off with the crushed nacho chips. Return to oven and bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 10 minutes, or until cheese has melted.

Well that's what's happening around these parts. I want to hear from you now. How did your week go?

    Stop and Go

Well I'm not even sure where to begin. Our scenery has completely changed. At the beginning of this month, we made the move from apartment to house. Still renting, but I enjoy that someone else is footing the bill to replace our exhaust fan and fix our kitchen light. The girls are enjoying have a yard and lots of square footage to sniff. Also, Melodie has become a fireplace whore. Husband is enjoying having a basement office (and let's not kid, so am I; anything to do with cable and been banned on the main floor). I'm not sure what I enjoy most, it's kind of a whole package thing for me.

We finished cleaning the apartment on Saturday (just the carpets, everything else was scrubbed to within an inch of it's life last Sunday). I have never been so happy to be done with a place. When we left our apartment in California, I was sad because we had such great experiences there. With the apartment here, I knew we should have run away screaming when the very first day we were there (less than 24 hours), we had water coming in through the bathroom ceiling fan.

Now, the girls can have crazy zoomies and I don't have to worry about the people underneath. Also, we have a real couch now and my back has never been more grateful.

Where does that leave me and the blog you ask? Why has it been so badly neglected that the number of cobwebs make it look like the Munsters moved in? Glad you asked.

Every since I started blogging, I've struggled with finding a balance between it and real life. I tend to have obsessive tendencies and miss out on things. In an attempt to maintain doing what I love (posting here) and doing what is necessary (apparently it's frowned up to let dogs walk themselves), I will only be posting once a week. My hope is that by only posting once a week, I will be able to produce quality work that someone would actually want to read.

I'm editing my post to add that while I feel like I completely personify The Undomestic Goddess, it drives me bananas that my name doesn't match my url. Since I have no desire to pay for a web address or switch platforms to find one that will allow me to be the Undomestic Goddess, I've decided to create a huge headache for myself and match everything to be Domestically Challenged Grrl. Oh what fresh hell I've stepped in.

So, here's to the new year and whatever it may bring (as long as it's alcohol)!

    Second Time Around

Who's ready for a flashback? This week is crazy, with a change to my hours, the Taste of Home Cooking show is in town and I'm starting a new 10k training program. Since I have quite a few new Facebook followers (thanks to SITS Girls!), I thought I'd highlight some of the posts that got me to where I am today.

And the one that started it all...

I appreciate everyone who takes time out of their busy (and probably more domestic) lives to read my blog and hope to have some new food posts very soon. That is, as soon as dinner stops coming from a box.

Melodie says "Thanks for stopping by. Wanna snuggle?"

**Food Friday** Rain, Rain Go Away...

Any coastal Oregonian knows that this time of year is synonymous with rain. By rain, I mean torrential down pours that can go on for hours and carry away small dogs (yes, Melodie that means you).

Since it will be another six months before we see the sun, I thought I'd share a grilling recipe. Note the beautiful green grass in the grill picture and lack of puddles everywhere.

These burgers are another one of my recipe mash ups, where I thought, hmmm, what if I did this recipe but added this, this and that? Ninety-nine percent of the time it ends with us ordering take out, but this one was actually rather edible.

I think barbecue sauce makes everything better.

*drool**sniffle**drool**sniffle* I don't think I've ever made something so tasty looking. Will be breaking out this recipe the first sunny day we have. Even if that's in May.

    Barbecue Ranch Turkey Burgers
    Printable Version

    1 lb ground turkey
    1/2 Tbl minced onion
    1 package ranch dressing mix
    1 minced clove garlic
    1 Tbl seasoned bread crumbs
    1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
    BBQ sauce
    Sliced cheese

Mix first six ingredients thoroughly and let sit at least an hour (I do an hour in the fridge and then a half hour at room temp-I think because Rachael Ray told me so). Preheat grill over who knows what temperature. Not a very high one or a very low one, somewhere in the middle (medium perhaps?). Form 4 to 6 patties depending on size preference. Grill 5-7 minutes and flip coating done side with BBQ sauce. Grill another 5-7 minutes and flip to coat other side. Let grill another two minutes before adding cheese of your choice.

What's your favorite thing to throw on the grill??

I Am Undomestic, Hear Me Roar!

I feel the need to make some clarifications about what being "undomestic" means. In all actuality, I have a love-hate relationship with the word. On the one hand, I think it clears up any misconceptions that I'm the manicured, dust free, clothes ironed, always have something to whip together at a moment's notice June Cleaver type but on the other hand, it's a rather glaring reminder that I am not the manicured, dust free, clothes ironed, always have something to whip together at a moment's notice June Cleaver type. Sometimes I feel I've single handedly set women back fifty years because of my inability to keep dishes out of my sink and work a forty plus hour work week (Husband also has his complaints about this but seeing as he has the inability to keep his dirty underwear off the bathroom floor, his gripes are summarily ignored).

I'm beginning to feel like the pre-fix in my moniker might be synonymous with lazy, except when I realize that both Husband and I have developed the rather impressive talent of dozing off if we so happen to sit still for longer than five minutes. Maybe "lazy" isn't the word I'm looking for; "exhausted" kind of sums things up.

There's no pretense of being able to eat off my floors, although, occasionally Mandie will when guinea pig poo is involved. I can't tell you the last time I folded AND put laundry away. Sometimes dinner comes from Subway, or worse yet, a box with an expiration date further out than my golden anniversary. The girls' dog toys sometimes get stumbled over and cursed at and may be put away but most likely not since it will be a matter of moments before Melodie has the box emptied out in her endless search for squeakers.

It has been chronicled here that I do have my moments of brilliance. While my participation in the monthly Crazy Cooking Challenge is spotty at best, I try to be a team player. There are several ingredients between my pantry and my refrigerator that could be put together in an attempt to put together a home cooked meal. My washing machine undergoes a thorough scrubbing and running of it's clean cycle bi-weekly, if not weekly, and I've discovered that vinegar is an excellent fabric softener for those of us with epidermis of the sensitive variety.

All of these things, the mishaps and triumphs, the mountains of housework and the joys of eating ice cream out of the tub, just happen to be me. I know that Husband didn't marry me because I look perfectly coiffed every time I leave the house; I wasn't that way ten years ago and believe me, there will be no changes in that area anytime soon (except that I have a new found love of mascara-another post entirely). He did marry me, though, because when push comes to shove, I never give up, even if that means getting a few dishes dirty...and then leaving them for him to clean up.

    5,000 Words

Sometimes when I don't know what to say about what's going on here at Casa de UDG, I feel it's best to let the pictures do the talking.

Melodie makes it ridiculously hard to go to work in the morning. With her soft come-hither-sleepy eyes, willingness to snuggle in any situation and her happiness to share her toys, she's a total triple threat. Nothing relieves more stress that doling out belly rubs to this one, especially when the reward is unlimited kisses.

Oh man oh man oh man. The Safeway gods finally listened. Growing up, I lived for weekends when Paternal Unit would make Puerto Rican food. My conversational Spanish might land us in international hot waters but I can name (and eat) all kinds of dishes from PR. Every birthday for as long as I can remember, I would request arroz con gandules and no matter where we were living, whether in West Virginia, where the nearest Spanish market is two states over, or Michigan, where I could get Grandma Paternal Unit to make it for me, it was always served. That's love.

Recently, I made the mistake of watching an episode of Animal Cops: Philadelphia. Huge mistake, colossal. People who abuse animals make me want to empty my stomach contents on them, see how they like it. When I catch my Mandie girl having a happy moment, rolling all over the floor and making happy growly sounds, it completely and utterly warms my heart and makes me so thankful for the rescue that pulled Mandie out of a kill shelter and put her in Husband's heart (oh OK, mine too).

I heart my coworkers. I heart them even more when they bring me free, like brand new AeroGardens so that I can grow lettuce and basil and thyme and strawberries and lettuce (Bubbles is way excited about the lettuce. So excited he just tossed his water bottle on the ground. For the 16547254785th time). Will keep you updated on the status of my nearly green thumb.

Last but not least, what would a post about my goings on be without my main squeeze (for the record, I have no other squeezes). Husband was recently promoted to a new position and while that means longer hours, phone calls in the middle of dinner (he has two phones on him at all times), paperwork everywhere and frequent trips out of town, I couldn't be more proud of him and the way he's always willing to give every new task 100%. I also love that he still takes his turn taking the girls outside to do their business and makes breakfast on Sundays. And does his own laundry. And leaves his underwear on the bathroom floor (wait, no, I was temporarily delirious from love).

It's been such a busy month and I can't believe it's almost over. So thankful for any and all time my little family has been able to spend together. Always grateful for a moment captured in time.

What are your favorite times caught on camera lately??

    Splash splash!

Husband was cleaning out a truck for one of his guys and asked if I wanted to help. I chose instead to wash the girls. Yeah those trucks are that bad.

    Is this really necessary?

    Momma I wants OUT!

Banished to the deck to dry.

    Now I wants in.

    Very unhappy puppy.

And because he feels that the girls are given way too much attention, here are some of Bubbles, our loveably loud cavy.

    Nom nom nom.

    Hanging out outside the cage.

My what big eyes you have...

So now the annual washing, brushing, flea preventing has been done. Mandie and Melodie both stayed in the tub (now if only Melodie had stayed off the couch grr) and enjoyed a treat in the sun. Mom is going to enjoy a treat in a glass.

PS Welcome to my new readers from the Crazy Cooking Challenge! You obviously have great taste.

    Heartbreaker

So far, in my short life, the scariest words uttered in the same sentence were "your mom" and "heart attack," which were then followed by sentences including the uber frightful phrase: "quadruple bypass." And while hearing  this is actually really easy, it's the processing and trying to concentrate on the subsequent utterings that will send you into a tailspin.

It's also the realizing that you are some three thousand miles away and barely a week into your brand new position. Nothing makes you feel more helpless than only being able to offer encouragement instead of hugs. I asked Maternal Unit if she needed me there and her response? "No. There's nothing for you to do here." Well I wasn't planning on scrubbing into the surgery Mother. Sheesh.

I only cried once during the whole ordeal. The day of Maternal Unit's surgery (which ended up only being a triple bypass), I received some coupons that she had cut out and sent to me. Maternal Unit is always worried about whether or not I'm eating and/or using soap. Considering I've been married three years, gained nearly twenty pounds and smell like baby powder, I would say her fears are unfounded. I also know that there is no convincing her differently and that is what had me dissolving into a sobbing pubble of mess. One minute I was considering if I seventy-five cents off Tide was worth it (it's not by the way) and the next I had Melodie in a choke hold, blubbering into her fur. It happened so fast that Husband had to do a double take to make sure he was seeing his normally overally composed wifey having a breakdown. Hugs and shoulder pats ensued and the tears stopped as quickly as they started because if there's one thing (out of the zillions) that Maternal Unit and I share in common, it's that, while crying may make you feel better, it won't actually solve anything. Unless the problem is a contact that has worked it's way up under your eyelid, then crying is the perfect solution.

It's been over a month since everything happened. I call two, sometimes three times, a week to check on both Parental Units. The doctor said that Maternal Unit's heart is very strong and other than being trussed up like a Thanksgiving turkey (she has a wire holding her ribs shut) and a loss of stamina, she's doing very well. All of the running (yes running!) she did when she was in her twenties and thirties and then the bike riding in her fifties definitely helped save her life. She has always encouraged me to be active, run hard, walk the dogs, do something to maintain a healthy lifestyle. And with heart disease being the number one killer of women, I don't think I need anymore motivation to lace up the Reeboks and take on the road, always with Maternal Unit's voice saying, "Good for you Poopy! Now, have you eaten today?"

    Edumacation

The saying goes, "When life hands you lemons, make lemonade." I can go with that, except I'm going to strain it because I hate pulp, add a few ice cubes, use Splenda and then add ice tea flavored vodka. Wait what was I making again?

Recently, I was promoted to a new position at The Hotel. I'm thrilled really. Completely overwhelmed and SOOOOOO glad the Biggest Loser Challenge is over (one less thing to worry about), but thrilled. It means adapting to a new schedule (Binky if you call me a vampire one more time, I swear I will stop loving Little Love 1 and Little Love 2!) and new challenges. It has also meant a renewed love of learning.

Anyone who's ever had more than a five minute long actual conversation with me knows that I am a treasure trove of trivia. I am this way because I love to read and I have taken on "Knowledge is power" as my personal mantra since my days of Bible Buzzing in Sunday school (anyone else remember doing that?). I love the rush when I have the answer to a question. It's right up there with the rush of being right (I get light headed a lot).

My point is I really do enjoy learning. I enjoy it more when it's on my terms, hence my not so always stellar grades in school, but nevertheless, I won't turn down wisdom, no matter where it comes from. Now imparting my own wisdom, that's where things get tricky.

So here I sit in a hotel room. I'm on day two of a three day of meeting with other people who are already functioning in the capacity that I will be. Since this has been purely for my edificiation and the people that I've met with have been so attentive to me, it hasn't been a time where I could coast. I've had to ask the questions I want answers to and try to think of the questions that I might not even know that I need to know the answers to (which is tricky, it's kind of like meeting my future self and causing a huge rift in the galaxy). When resources have been pretty much laid at your feet, smiling and giving support, you'd be pretty messed up not to take advantage of them. Hi, I'm the Undomestic Goddess and I'm a user (but in a good way).

I will say, I haven't enjoyed being away from Husband. Before I left, we'd spent a record three nights in the same bed. Not only were we not quite sure what to do (some things really are like riding a bicycle) but the girls are super confused as to why both of their humans are taking up their space. Melodie keeps wedging herself between us as if to reassure herself, that yes, we are both really there. Mandie makes sure with a quick cold wet nose to some inconvenient part of the body. In the future, all furry children will sleep on the floor, two or four-legged.

How do you feel about learning? Always ready to tackle a new challenge?

    A Christmas Story

Now most of you know that I am one of THOSE people and not ashamed of it. I call my dogs, Mandie and Melodie, my fur kids. Husband and I don't have children yet (we're on the four year plan and are barely to year three) but we do worry about poop, clean up vomit and stuff vitamins down throats. Mandie was our first, Husband's little darling, and probably gets the most face time here. However, Melodie aka Scruffy, holds a very special place in my heart.

She was our first foster and after going thru one adoption weekend, heartbroken no one had chosen her, I couldn't let her go. It's also no secret, that she is my first and last puppy. The potty training, the stepping on machete sharp puppy teeth, the kennel cough, all proof that God made puppies cute so you wouldn't boot them out the door. (*side note: for whatever reason, it never computed that puppy teeth fall out, so the first time I stepped on one, I was a complete mess. Husband looked at me like I had just told him I grew a penis and calmly said, "That's what puppies do. That's how they get adult teeth." My frantic desire to cure my ailing puppy then turned to irritation as that friggin' tooth had nearly inserted itself entirely into the ball of my foot)

I call this a Christmas story because we officially made Melodie ours right before Christmas and she was my present. Now, nearly two years later I don't what I'd do without the daily search for my slipper socks or 6:30 am wake up whines (for which I shouldn't complain since that means my freshman attempts at housebreaking were a success). I had never been into the bearded terrier types but now I have a full on love affair with all scruffykins, although, you'll be hard-pressed to find a scruffier one than mine. Some of my favorite moments of the day are doling out belly rubs and scritches, just so I can see Melodie make sleepy eyes. Yeah it's corny and pretty much un-UDG like, but it gives me a little of that peace I feel on Christmas year round.

So from our home, full of food smells and dog hair, to yours, I wish you a very merry Christmas.

    I sit. Now treat?

    All I want for Christmas...

As most of you undoubtedly remember from last year, I have an ongoing struggle with the commercialism of Christmas. I am by no means against gift giving; the opposite is true. I love giving and receiving gifts, it give me a warm fuzzy feeling down deep in my left big toe. What I HATE is people who whine and complain about gift giving. If you don't want to do it, THEN DON'T. The "Well my kids/husband/best friend's cousin's dentist expects it" is bologna. You're just looking for a reason to go woe is me, my life is so hard, I HAVE PEOPLE IN MY LIFE TO BUY GIFTS FOR. Bite me. If the people in my life became so greedy as to expect something from me at Christmas, they go straight to the Christmas card only pile. People who try to genuinely harbor cheer and goodwill at this time will most likely end up with something from The Store. Just saying (I get a discount, so again feel free to bite my rather large round Puerto Rican hiney).

Now that I have that somewhat out of my system (I won't truly be free of my inner Scrooge until my decorations are safely packed away in storage), I thought I'd share some of the items that, if Husband were the gagillionaire I thought I would marry someday, I'd be demanding requesting.

Behold, the epitome of all things domestic. Some of you may be wondering why I don't already own one. I ask myself that same question every damn day.

Now I just wrote this wonderful paragraph about how my engagement ring is a pearl and unique and everyone loves it, so this necklace would go perfectly with it but Blogger is already preying on my altered Christmas joy and deleted it. Bah. Humbug. The necklace was made by a college friend, Cassie Sanchez. She's one of those people who's pretty, giving, strong-willed and creative to boot, the complete opposite of yours truly. I don't hold that against her. Take a moment to check out her Etsy Shop, Eden's Closet. She has some perfect items for the fashionista on your list.

That's right it's a mini sub. Hey, it's not like I'm asking for a normal size one, geez.

They told me dachshunds were like chips, you can't have just one. I should've told them I don't eat junk food.

And there it is. My (in)comprehensive wish list. The only items missing are abs and the ability to eat copious amounts of mac and cheese while effortlessly maintaining those abs. Oh and I'd consider it my Christmas miracle if you took a moment to "like" me on Facebook (no Melodie, momma wrote "like" not "lick).

So, what about yourself? Asking for anything special this year? A car, perhaps? Or are you taking the more humble approach and only asking for one G6 instead of two?
